इन्द्रं मित्रं (Indram Mitram)
इन्द्रं मित्रं वरुणमग्निमाहुरथो दिव्यः स सुपर्णो गरुत्मान्।
एकं सद्विप्रा बहुधा वदन्त्यग्निं यमं मातरिश्वानमाहुः॥ १.१६४.४६ ॥

English Translation:
Wise people address God in various ways. He is called as Indra (due to his riches and prosperity),
Mitra (as he is a benefactor), Varun (due to his eminence), and Agni (due to his resplendence).
He is magnificent, the controller of this world and the only God (परमात्मा).

विद्वान (विद्यमान ब्राह्मण) लोक त्या एकाच परमेश्वराचे विविध प्रकारे वर्णन करतात. त्याला (परमेश्वराला) (ऐश्वर्य संपन्न असल्याकारणाने) इंद्र, (हितकारी असल्याकारणाने) मित्र, (श्रेष्ठ असल्यामुळे) वरूण आणि (प्रकाशमान असल्याकारणाने) अग्नि या नावांनी संबोधतात. तो जग नियंता, सुंदर आणि परमात्मा आहे.
