Sankashti Dates 2030

Sankashti Chaturthi or Sankatahara Chaturthi is celebrated in reverence of Lord Ganesha. This festival is observed every month on the Chaturthi of the Krishna Paksha, or the dark fortnight phase of the Hindu calendar. This festival is known as "Sankat Hara Chaturthi" in Tamil Nadu.

There are a total of 13 Sankashti Chaturthi fasts observed in a year. When Sankashti Chaturthi falls on a Tuesday, it is known as Angaraki Chaturthi and is considered especially auspicious. Devotees observe a fast throughout the day and break it only after sighting the moon in the evening and offering Arghya.
