Shravan Maas (Sawan) is widely considered the holiest month of the Hindu calendar, entirely dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. It is a period of intense devotion, fasting (especially on Shravan Somvars), and spiritual purification, marking the arrival of the life-giving monsoon rains.
