Lunar Eclipse Dates 2023
A lunar eclipse (Chandra Grahan) occurs when Earth passes between the Sun and Moon, casting its shadow on the Moon. Like Surya Grahan, Chandra Grahan is traditionally observed with fasting and the avoidance of new undertakings during the eclipse period, particularly the Sutak period preceding it. Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to view directly with the naked eye.
